When I was growing up in India, access to knowledge was very limited. No public libraries. You had to rely on school libraries, which were not very good, in my case.
With the Internet now, that barrier has been broken down. It is easy to access information and also easy to share your knowledge. Searching on YouTube will get a video which may be helpful. Searching on Google will connect you to someone who is facing a similar bug, that you breaking your head on.
You still need to be good at filtering the wheat from the chaff to manage the information overload and also to figure truth from lies.
One way to do this is to follow folks you respect but for search results you still need to have a quick mental filter to decide what you reading or watching is useful or not.
